We are seeking a skilled and motivated Salesperson to join our team and take charge of selling our cutting-edge software solutions for the maritime industry. As a salesperson in this role, you will be responsible for generating leads, cultivating relationships with potential clients, and closing deals with shipping companies, Shipping agencies, port agencies and other relevant entities within the maritime industry.
- Pre-sales Strategy: Develop and implement pre-sales strategies, including effective sales techniques, value propositions, and competitive differentiation to achieve revenue goals.
- Technical Consultation: Collaborate with the sales team and engage with potential clients to understand their requirements, challenges, and objectives. Provide technical guidance and solutions that align with the client's needs and demonstrating how our products/services address their pain points.
- Product Demonstrations: Plan & Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the features, functionalities, and benefits of our offerings along with product SMEs. Customize demonstrations to suit each customer's unique use cases and industry requirements.
- RFP/RFI Responses: Lead the preparation of responses to Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs). Ensure that all technical aspects of the proposal are addressed accurately and professionally.
- Sales presentations: Need to ensure preparing high quality presentation for clients meeting quickly.
- Business Development: Understand the unique selling points of our Maritime products. Identify and research potential clients within the Maritime industry to expand the company's revenue. Generate new leads through various channels, such as cold-calling, networking events, developing channel partners, trade shows, online platforms, and referrals.
- Achieve Sales Targets: Set ambitious sales targets in liaison with the leadership team. Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets to contribute to the company's revenue growth and market presence.
- Client Engagement: Understand the unique needs and pain points of potential clients and present them with tailored solutions using our maritime software. Conduct presentations, product demonstrations, and workshops to showcase the benefits and functionalities of our Software.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster long-term partnerships. Understand client feedback and relay it to the development team to continuously improve our software offerings.
Candidate Skills (must have)
- Proven track record in B2B sales, preferably in selling software solutions pertaining to maritime industry.
- In-depth knowledge of the maritime industry, including shipping operations, port management etc.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills to effectively convey the value proposition of our software to potential clients.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within client organisations.
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools to manage leads, prospects, and sales pipelines efficiently.
- Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexibility to travel as needed for client meetings, industry events, and conferences.
- Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
